BIOGRAPHIES

Nate Larson and Marni Shindelman have been engaged in ongoing collaboration since the summer of 2007.

Their first project, “Witness: A Psychic Collaboration” will be exhibited at The New Gallery in Calgary in November 2009, and has been previously exhibited at Rochester Institute of Technology and Shawnee State University. Selections from the project were shown at Wall Space Gallery in Seattle and 23 Sandy Gallery in Portland.

We presented a collaborative imagemaker lecture at the 2009 National SPE conference in Dallas, TX. The Witness project will be published in the fall issue of the Exposure journal, accompanied by an essay and interview by Leslie K. Brown of the Photographic Resource Center at Boston University. Nate was interviewed about the project on the Amsterdam television program De Hoeksteen Live! in June 2008.

Selections from our second project, Semaphore, are currently on exhibit at South Seattle Community College. A special performance and exhibition of Semaphore will be featured in Ithaca, NY in July 2009, as part of the Stations project hosted by The Working Relationship.

Larson and Shindelman placed in the semi-finals in the 2008 annual World Telekinesis Competition, hosted by artist collective Noxious Sector, and were just crowned the champions of the 2009 global event.
